This Ancient Tree Tea comes from Menghai in Yunnan Province and is made from the leaves of ancient tea trees estimated to be around 620 years old. Such trees produce only very small quantities of leaves, but in return, they yield teas of exceptional depth and inner balance.
The tea was produced in April 2021 and then gently pressed into small 8g biscuits. This shape protects the aroma, facilitates dosage, and promotes a gentle maturation over time. Today, the tea is stable, clear, and balanced.
The tea presents itself calmly and clearly in the brew. The texture is soft and dense, with earthy depth, subtle sweetness, and a long-lasting, clean structure. No overt bitterness, but rather balance and length β typical of high-quality Ancient Tree Tea from Menghai.
